It is very similar, but of a slightly different size, to a pottery plate from Imari preserved at the Namban Bunkakan Museum of Osaka. As most part of the Japanese geographical maps of the Fondo Orientale of the Società Geografica Italiana the plate is a gift from Cristoforo Robecchi.

Piatto di porcellana prodotto a Imari nel periodo di regno Têmpo (1830-1843), come indicato sul retro. Dipinto a mano; in bianco e blu. Assai simile, ma di grandezza leggermente diversa, a un piatto di ceramica Imari conservato al Museo Bunkakan di Osaka. Il piatto, come gran parte delle carte geografiche giapponesi appartenenti al Fondo Orientale della Società Geografica Italiana, venne donato da Cristoforo Robecchi. 1 Attualmente la denominazione "Imari" si applica per le porcellane prodotte dal 1871. 1 C.
