Antonio Guidotti, che fu anche pittore, studiò all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze partecipando ai concorsi per il Pensionato artistico nel 1904 e nel 1909. Nel 1905 espose a Firenze una scultura intitolata “Barocciaio”.
Nel 1913 realizzò la fontana che porta il suo nome a Montecatini Terme, in Piazza del Popolo.
