Prima edizione latina dell’Euclide di Hervagen. Questo esemplare è completo della prefazione di Philipp Melancthon, rimossa dai censori in molte copie. In questa edizione è pubblicata l’opera completa di Euclide, derivata dalla traduzione di Bartolomeo Zanetti del 1505 e corredata dai commenti di Campanus, Hypiciles, e altri. Inoltre è qui stampato per la prima volta, in fine al volume, il frammento De levi et ponderoso, con i quattro teoremi attribuiti a Euclide che riguardano la meccanica e il moto dei corpi. Dictionary of Scientific Biography: “No work by Euclid on mechanics is extant in Greek, nor is he credited with any mechanical works by ancient writers.
